21. The Music House (Musik Huset). The Music House (Musik Huset) in Aarhus was designed by the Danish architects Kjær & Richter, and it was built in 1982. The Music House is located on the old Military area. In recognition for the former importance of the military in this area the hedges around the Music House have been cut and trimmed in a strict orderly fashion as to reflect the discipline and order or the military.

22. Aarhus City Hall (Århus Rådhus). The Aarhus City Hall building dates back to 1938 and it designed by legendary Danish architect Arne Jacobsen & Erik Møller. The building is considered to be a masterpiece of Danish functionalism. In front of the city hall there is a huge granite sculpture called, “Grisebrønden” which was made by the Danish sculptor Mogens Bøggild (1901-1987) in 1941. The water fountain behind the building contains a bronze sculpture called, “Agnete & Havmanden” which was made by the Danish sculptor Johannes C. Bjerg (1886-1955). This sculpture was also made in 1941.

23. The Five Sisters (De Fem Søstre). The oil-mill’s silo plant and storehouses are called The Five Sisters, because there are five of them, they look exactly alike and they stand side by side. These silos were built in 1926, and they were designed by the Danish architect Hjalmar Kjær.

24. Aarhus University (Århus Universitet). Aarhus University is Denmark's second oldest and second largest University behind the University of Copenhagen (Københavns Universitet). The University was built in 1932, and it was designed by the world renowned Danish architects Kay Fisker, Poul Stegmann, and C.F. Møller. The University was built with yellow bricks, and it is obvious by the design that the architects were inspired by the international functionalism prevalent at the time of its construction. Denmark was a world leader in architecture and design during the 20th century. In 2001, C.F. Møller and his son Mads Møller who also a well respected designer in his own right designed the new auditorium. The auditorium has an enormous 500 m2 wall and a beautiful painting on the ceiling which was done by Per Kirkeby.

25. The Train Station Square (Banegårdspladsen). The Central Train Station (Banegårdspladsen) was built in 1929. Denmark has a very good national train system and from the Central Train Station it is possible book train journeys all around the country. The fine details buildings around the train station square were constructed during the 1920’s.
