Round Tower (Rundetårn) Astronomical Observatory in Copenhagen

Round Tower Astronomical Observatory
The Round Tower (Rundetårn) in Copenhagen (København), Denmark is the oldest observatory in Europe. The tower was built on the instruction of King Christian IV and was completed in 1642. King Christian definitely met the famed Danish astronomer Tycho Brahe and it almost certain that the King's interests were piqued by this famous Dane. (Brahe died long before the tower was complete).
