Copenhagen's Airport, Kastrup

Airport Code: CPH

Copenhagen's Airport, Kastrup (Københavns Lufthavn, Kastrup) is a wonderful modern airport. In true Scandinavian fashion the airport is clean, well designed and very efficient. It is Scandinavia's busiest hub, and it is the 17th busiest in Europe. The airport offers direct flights to and from over 100 cities from around the globe, as well as a handful of flights to some of the smaller Danish airports. There are 3 terminals and a 4th is schedualed to open in 2010. There are free shuttle buses between terminals, as well as plenty of shopping and eating facilities.

The airport is very well situated and lies about 9 km southeast of Copenhagen's city center. There are excellent modes of transport to and from the airport. It only takes 15 minutes via the city train system (METRO) to arrive at Copenhagen's central train station, Norreport Station (Nørreport Station). There is also access to the national train system (DSB) where travellers can take trains to any town within Denmark that has a train station. Trains are accessed in terminal 3 wether they are METRO (city) trains or DSB (national) trains. There are also plenty of taxis and buses from all 3 terminals.

There is plenty of parking and all parking lots have 24 hour surveillance cameras. The majority of the parking lots are covered. Parking spots may be pre-ordered on the airport's homepage, however this is not necessary because of the adequate amount of spaces available.
